These are the ‘Burnt Sienna’ Gwithian Rocks currently at the Manchester Art Fair
After the paintings were complete I rubbed some oil and salt, washing liquid and vinegar onto sheets of copper and steel and left them in the sun for a few days. Later I put them outside in the water butt and left them for a few weeks. It was interesting to pull them out and find some traces of copper on the steel which complimented the burnt sienna really well.
